Something which I recently read about was how some celebrities take vitamin b12 injections as a way to combat fatigue and give themselves an energy boost. It’s not surprising when you think of some of the hectic lifestyles some celebrities have, that they need a boost on occasion.
On last year’s UK X-Factor Cher Lloyd was given the recommendation of taking a vitamin b12 shot before taking to the stage to perform by her mentor Cheryl Cole.
Justin Timberlake also gives them the 2 thumbs up. He first wasintroduced to this vitamin as an energy booster by none other than Madonna.
Now most people live some type of hectic lifestyle and that is why drinks such as coffee and energy drinks are popular as they tend to give people a little pick me up.
So is taking vitamin b12 supplements or having a b12 shot a better and more effective way to boost your energy?
From what I understand vitamin b12 is water soluble therefore if you already have enough vitamin b12 stored in your system then any additional amount from supplements will simply be excreted through your urine.
This simply means that vitamin b12 shots are likely only going to be effective if you have some kind of vitamin b12 deficiency and your body needs more of the vitamin. If your body has enough vitamin b12 then you could very well be wasting your money by taking b12 shots or supplements.
If you feel fatigued and lack energy then boosting your vitamin b12 levels could be good for you. But please if you are constantly fatigued and feel you simply don’t have energy visit your Doctor. These are symptoms which need investigated, so don’t self diagnose by using the internet, get yourself to a Doctor and make sure there isn’t a bigger problem.
